Hello,
I bought Iduino MEGA R3 and found that the SDA/SCL is not working.
I connected it to oscilloscope and noticed there was no signal on SCL, socket port 21.
I checked the physical connectivity (with multimeter) and found that there is no connectivity between the ATmega2560 pin 43 to socket port 21.
I complained to seller and he sent me a new one , but it has the same problem.
It seems it is defective manufacture.
with such problem the board is useless for my purpose.
Did someone faced similar problem ?
Please advise
Thanks
Iduino MEGA R3 SCL problem
Re: Iduino MEGA R3 SCL problem
I just purchased ten iduino Mega R3s and the I2C interface does not seem to work. I tried five of them and none of them are communicating over I2C (which of course uses the SCL line that you are having problems with.) I have many other Chinese clone Mega R3s as well as a "real" Arduino Mega R3, and they all run my test code perfectly.
My Geeetech iduino runs the Blink test program fine -- but beyond that it seems that these boards have issues.
It is very disappointing that you have not received any sort of reply from Geeetech on your post! But since 100% of the five boards that I tested failed to communicate over I2C -- the same problem you are reporting -- it seems that these boards are all bad

Hello
I got a replay from them, admitting that this board version is defective.
They send me old version working board.
